Nestan Nijaradze, is co-founder and Artistic Director of the Tbilisi Photo Festival - first international annual photo festival in Georgia founded in 2010 and Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum - the first Georgian institution entirely dedicated to the contemporary image that has been inaugurated in 2019 in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia.
She has curated numerous exhibitions of international photographers in Georgia and abroad promoting photographers from the South Caucasus region. The exhibitions curated by Nestan Nijaradze were shown in France, Ukraine, Lithuania, India, Turkey...
After graduating from the Tbilisi University, in Visual Arts, N. Nijaradze got a Masters in Paris, at the University of Paris VII, on photography and cinema.
Actively committed to the world of visual arts, N. Nijaradze was a co-editor in chief of Photo Magazine between 2007-2009 and has initiated the first permanent collection of Georgian photography, which has been expanding since 2007.
