For any photographer, capturing images is only the beginning of their journey with a story. The process that unfolds after the camera is put down is often more challenging. It requires the photographer to reflect, communicate, and even write, so their work can have a complete life.
In our Zine Workshop, we focus on this life and afterlife: it's about creating a zine on one hand, and rethinking the project within the specific context of the zine medium on the other.
We work closely with participants on producing a zine from their own photo projects, emphasizing project analysis, editing, sequencing, design, and the importance of materials. The workshop culminates in each participant creating a printed zine.
* Please note that a zine is a small-format publication, suitable for “short stories”, in contrast to a photobook, which allows for a longer narrative. Apply with a project suited to the zine format
Apply for the workshop until October 18
